Labs


Experiment 2.1

Your expectation in this lab is that the mass before the reaction will be the same as the mass after the reaction. Depending how how precise your scale is, you might find that your mass after the reaction is slightly less than the mass before. If this happens to you, you need to try and explain why. Hint: it has something to do with how hot the reaction gets. Make sure to be careful with the lye!
